Eligibility Criteria

At DMISS, we follow a transparent and structured admission policy aligned with CBSE norms, ensuring fairness and clarity for all applicants. Please find below the detailed eligibility criteria for various grades.

Age Eligibility (As per CBSE Norms)

Class Minimum Age (As on 31st March 2025)

  • Pre-KG 3 years
  • LKG 4 years and 6 months
  • UKG 5 years and 6 months
  • Grade I 6 years and 6 months
  • Grade II and above as per successful completion of the previous grade

Note: Age calculation is strictly based on the cut-off date of 31st March as per CBSE regulations.

Academic Eligibility

Pre-KG to UKG: No formal schooling required. However, basic age-appropriate readiness will be observed during the interaction.

Grade I and above:
  • Students must have successfully completed the previous grade from a recognized school.
  • Academic performance, discipline, and regular attendance will be considered.
  • A Transfer Certificate (original) and latest Report Card must be submitted at the time of admission.
  • For higher grades, students may be required to take an entrance assessment in core subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science.

Language Eligibility

Second Language Options begin from Grade I: Tamil / Hindi

Students seeking admission to higher grades must have studied the selected second language in their previous school (if applicable).

General Guidelines

  • Admission is subject to availability of seats in the respective class.
  • The final decision on admissions rests with the School Management Committee.
  • Incomplete applications or failure to submit valid documentation may lead to disqualification.

Document Eligibility – Mandatory Submissions

Parents/guardians must ensure the following documents are ready at the time of admission:

  • Student Documents:
  • Birth Certificate (Photocopy)
  • Recent Passport-Size Photographs (5 copies)
  • Aadhar Card of the Child
  • Transfer Certificate (Original) – for Grade I and above
  • Previous School Report Card
  • Community Certificate (if applicable)
  • Medical Certificate / Vaccination Record (for KG students)
Parent Documents:
  • Aadhar Card of Father and Mother
  • Address Proof (e.g., Electricity Bill, Rental Agreement, Passport)
  • ID Proof of the Parent/Guardian
